Green Technology Present SLS AMG E-Cell – Mercedes electric car

We have heard of very many electric cars before, but some of them are not powerful enough, powerful ones don't give you any range or just prototypes that never make it to market. However, Mercedes is planning on making it a production car. Electric SLS AMG E-cell provides really good power, a decent range of 125 miles and really good looks of its fire breathing brother.

This electric car features not one engine like its brother but four motors. Each motor is powering its own wheel which makes the whole system very powerful. How powerful? No, it won't give you more power than ordinary Mercedes SLS (not that this supercar can be called ordinary), but its electric brother gives you up to 528 hp. The petrol version outputs 563 hp.

Having a lot of horses under the bonnet is a good thing but there is also such a parameter as torque (it is responsible for car's acceleration basically). And here our electric SLS AMG monster beats the base petrol model by more than 30% producing 649 ft/lbs as opposed to 479 ft/lbs from the stock car.

Everybody knows that placing an electric motor in a car, four of them in this case, you need to carry around a huge weight of batteries in your car. And this one is carrying as much as 880 lbs more weight than the stock model. Experts say that this addition to the weight killed the car's handling and steering, but Mercedes promise that they will solve these problems when the electric SLS AMG hits auto salons.

Flying Hovercraft set to take to the skies

The Flying Hovercraft seems to be something pulled from the pages of the future, but it is rattling actual correct here and now. Thanks to Rudy Heeman of Nelson, New Zealand, this craft is confident of grace and can function equally well either on water or on land. This is understandably a labor of love, attractive up to 11 years of Mr. Heeman's life. The hoverwing functions like those on a normal hovercraft, although when you impact the peak pace of 60mph, its wings will be be extended further for it to verify flight. Powered by a 1.8 liter Subaru engine, it sports extractable wings and has a peak grace coefficient capacity of 160kg, so we're guessing there isn't any shack for on-board snacks. You won't fall rattling far from the sky though, since it has a peak flying height of around 3 meters

The Ultimate Motorcycle Side Car is a Snaefell

I know, I know, it doesn’t look real, but apparently some dude (François Knorreck) spent 10 years, 10,000 work hours and 15,000 Euros building the Snaefell, a motorcycle with the ultimate side car.  I was sort of hoping that the bike could detach from the side car and be independently propelled, but as you can see from the overhead shot it’s one complete body; a Unibody (wink) of sorts.  I have to question how well it handles, but considering its uniqueness does it really matter.

Gets Style Get GPS Ferrari Edition

If you could think of one word to describe a GPS, what would it be? If I say “Ferrari”, it might not be the right word, and people are bound to say I’m a little bit crazy. I admit one of my dreams is to own a car like this but if you want to buy me a GPS I advise you to chose something else. Not because I don’t like it but because it won’t fit on my car.

The Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro is nice looking (like almost all Ferrari’s products), it has a 4.3″ touchscreen, map data for Europe and United States, Bluetooth handsfree set, telephone and address book, lane info assistant etc.Now go and buy the adequate car for this gadget! More details here, via.Price: $535

Mission One EV electric sports bike is perfect for millionaires

Living in a car-crowded city is like living in hell. Of course, if you are a car driver! Moreover, since you have to use your car to get to work every morning, better stick it in your ass. I have to confess it’s much better to cycle everyday. First for your health and second for your boss. You’ll be able to get to work on time.

Better use the train or the bus. This way you’ll save money for the new Mission One EV electric sports bike. Nowadays it’s trendy to be Eco. But there is a major problem: ECO spirit is breaking your wallet!

At the TED Conference, Mission Motors revealed its all-electric two-wheels model with a top speed of 150 MPH. The lithium-ion battery keeps your ride safe for 150 miles.

The Zumba phone - first truly hands-free mobile phone

As you know I am a driver, I own a car and I am totally against even hands-free phone systems. My security when driving is more important than any other device that can disturb me. We live in an age when being on time is more important than our safety. Tell me, how many times were you in a hurry because you’ve been caught in traffic? Now, tell me if you use your phone to apologize for coming late at work … when driving! I bet you do.

I’ve seen people reading books behind the wheel in traffic and girls looking in the mirror to put on make up when driving. Anyway, because I will tell you about the Zumba phone (first truly hands-free mobile phone), it’s your brain that’s distracted when you’re on the phone, not your hands. I sincerely advise you to care about your safety as a driver more than your personal problems.

zumba phone backNow, great news! The Zumba phone offers you the world’s first fully accurate voice recognition system for mobile phones. Now I am tempted to say: “So what? To my mind it’s the same if you use a hands-free plugged into your phone or if you use the Zumba when driving!“, but Zumba has a nice feature that allows you to send text messages using speech alone! While doing the kinky job of sending an SMS using voice recognition, your phone’s data (including your contacts) is stored on a 100% secure website.

Zumba has a nice design and you can speak to your friends while it is tucked away in your jacket’s pocket or in your car’s boot. The secret is an ear hook type device that covers your ear. You can do everything by pressing a single button!

It really sounds revolutionary (and good for us, the drivers) but because the producer is a small company, I might be skeptic about his future.

Transparent truck system

Art Lebedev has come up with a transparent truck system that does have the potential of saving lives - where it does so by taking images from the front of the truck while showing it off on a screen located at the back, dubbing the system Transparentius. Perfect for those moments where you need to drive through curvaceous mountaineous roads, as you will be able to see whether there are any oncoming vehicles before making a safe overtaking maneuver.
