iPad for wireless 3G technology launched by Apple

On Friday, in the second launch stage, Apple Inc began to sell the new version of the iPad (which is a sort of high-speed wireless version) in United States. This is happening after the successful debut of the Wi-Fi version with a short range of scope early this month.

Certainly, although this launch didn’t have so much propaganda and excitement as happened during the first launch (on April 3, a lot of people waited in line all night to get one), some Apple retail stores in big cities also had groups of people who were waiting for the official launch, which was carried out at 17:00 local time.

For example, at a store in downtown San Francisco, about 75 people waited in line during 90 minutes before the public launch of this Apple gadget.

Several people said they were waiting for the more expensive version of the iPad because they think the iPad 3G would be a potential replacement of their laptop computers, at least in certain cases.

New tablet powered by Samsung

It appears that other manufacturers are joining in the tablets race. Although Samsung already has tablet computers in the past (like the Samsung Mondi, which features Windows 6.1, WiMax, and a full QWERTY keyboard), it is said to be introducing its latest iPad competitor, which according to rumors will be called the S-Pad.

According to Korean sources, this 7-inch Android-run tablet will be the world’s first to have a Super AMOLED display and will feature 3G, WiFi, USB, and access to Samsung Apps. The S-Pad is said to be launched in August in South Korea via SK Telecom. No details about the price as of yet.

HTC Google Nexus One Android smartphones sold a whole week after its market launch

HTC Google Nexus One is a superphone, indeed. And it seemed to have all it takes to become a market hit as well. But apperently something went wrong, because the start of its sales is seriously short of impressive?

As it turns out only around 20 000 Nexus One Android smartphones have been sold during the first week after the official market launch of the device.

So, if this trend keeps up, the Google’s first smartphone might just fail to set the world alight. Let me remind you that analysts expected 5 to 6 million Nexus Ones to be sold by the end of the year.

The first week sales of the Nexus One seem miserable when put next to the 250 000 units of Motorola DROID or the 1.6 million units of Apple iPhone 3GS in their first weeks of existence. But let’s not forget that the HTC Google Nexus One is currently only shipping SIM-free to USA, UK, Hong Kong and Singapore. As this list grows we might expect the sales speed to increase.

Best seller or not, one thing is for sure – the Nexus One made the beginning of this year far more exciting than I could have ever expected.

Users can store pictures on their personal computer and play with them as and when he wants, making it extremely user friendly for anyone and everyone to operate. Images can be stored in form of digital images by using term like Pixels, pixel stands for digital expression of the images and are made from zeroes to one.

Similar to any other conventional camera, digital cameras are equipped with number of lenses that focuses on light and creates pictures you would like to capture. In fact the process of capturing light in digital camera makes a lot of difference as this is achieved with the help of special sensors instead of a film. Upgraded versions ofdigital cameras give users another unique system called the charged couple device also called as CCD. This helps in transferring light in electrical signals. Low end or old model of cameras images use CMOS device and is often in direct competition with CCD of high enddigital cameras.

Everyone certainly knows about the price reduction in some models of digital camera, making them extremely affordable to everyone. The major reason for this reduction is the CMOS device for image capture.Digital cameras are equipped for converting the light received which is in millions of tiny solar cells and stores it using CCD or CMOS which ever system the camera is equipped with but using different technology. 3D maps demo on Xperia X10 smartphone

There has been some sound over Sony Ericsson's upcoming X10, purportedly launching 2nd orientation - let's add 3D mapping to the X10's angle of features to cry over.  The folks over at Ericsson Labs feature revealed a recording manifestation of their new 3D Landscape API lengthways on the Xperia X10 phone. From what young can be seen, it's quite expansive - a reasonably changeable touchscreen direction through a cardinal dimensional concern based on real-world imagery supercharged by the C3 Technologies (a spinout from denial industry troupe Saab AB).

The Snapdragon chip's display itself off fantastically recovered here, as no entity how untold panning, tilting, and swooping finished the cityscape, video production stays consistently above 30 frames per support. There's no verification or indication that this'll be disposable on retail X10s person out of the box, but the fact that the X10 is subject of this speaks a livelong lot.  Chit out the video below.  It's pretty awesome. 3D maps demo on Xperia X10 smartphone

ASUS Eee Pad Tegra 2 tablet tipped for Computex 2010

ASUS made lowercase fanfare roughly their EeePC Hint Series Paper at CES 2010, leaving it tucked forth in a compartment at NVIDIA's kiosk, but the latest rumors advise that they'll be doing all that at Computex 2010 in June.  According to DigiTimes' industry sources, the paper present be illustrious as the Eee Pad and it gift indeed use NVIDIA's Tegra 2 chipset. Otherwise details are tight, though ASUS is believed to bed awarded the manufacturing take to Pegatron.  The ASUS Eee Pad is prospective to turn in at under $500; we'd say it has to arrive at solon suchlike a $300 saucer if it wants to make sufficient buyers. Meantime ASUS' ebook order plans are also cue speculation among manufacturers, with the newest in Taipei being rumors that dubiety over marketplace status has led the lot to holdup the begin of the 9-inch DR-950 and OLED-based 6-inch DR-570.  In fact the sources now take that neither ereader instrument hit the mart until the latter half of 2010. ASUS Eee Pad Tegra 2 tablet tipped for Computex 2010

HTC HD2 firmware update

HTC know pushed out a fairly evidentiary firmware update for the HD2, addressing in-call expression level as source as tweaking accelerometer performance.  The update apparently improves automated portrait/landscape course flips in the preinstalled Opera browser, unitedly with substance what sounds equal gapless penalisation playback from the HD2's mediaplayer. Update: General points out that this update has been around for a spell - Thanks!  However HTC soul also pulled the past SMS update for the HD2, which users had integrated results with.  No language from the band as to their reasons for doing so.

There are several versions of the ROM for the UK, Ellas, Land, Noreg, Frg, Espana, Holland, Author, Czechoslovakian Commonwealth, Polska and Italia, all with variation lottery motion off from 1.48.4xx.x.  It's evidently designer checking to tidy careful you're actually running an earlier ROM ripe now, and act trustworthy to set aside 30 minutes for the update to determine localise. i-mate JASJAR caught running Windows Mobile 7

While Microsoft has confirmed that they will announce Windows Mobile 7 in the near future (many of us suspect that Mobile World Congress will be the place to do so), someone caught an image of the relatively old i-mate JASJAR running on what is tipped to be Windows Mobile 7, although there are no confirmations on whether this is an early build or the final, consumer-ready version. As for the specifications required to run Windows Mobile 7, there are many variations being bandied about the Internet at the moment - we prefer to wait until Microsoft issues an official statement.

Sharp Plans on Exporting More Cell Phones Internationally

Although Sharp is the biggest cell phone manufacturer in Japan (in terms of market share), the company is uncomfortable seeing the domestic market getting smaller.  In a recently published press release, Sharp has announced that they are planning on strengthening its mobile phone line for the international market.

The first in its plan is to export one of its big sellers to China:  A solar-powered cell phone.  The Solar Hybrid SH6230C has a solar cell module, a 2.9-inch LCD screen, and 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus.

The SH6230C, which comes in blue and white, is the first solar mobile phone that Sharp would market outside Japan.  It will become available for Chinese users this February, costing about US$500, but Sharp announces that the solar powered phone may hit the shelves of other countries as well.

HTC HD2 gets optional extended battery and kickstand

If the battery life was your only concern about the omnipresent HTC HD2 we have some great news coming your way. HTC has just come up with an extended battery that packs twice the juice of the original one. And to make things even sweeter it throws in a kickstand as well, which should be a major boost to the video watching experience.

The bad (though perfectly expected) news is that those come with a replacement battery cover that adds a few millimeters to the HTC HD2 waistline. This however shouldn’t be too much of a concern, since the device is only 11mm thick with its original casing and even with the saucier battery it will still remain among the slimmest smartphones available on the market.

Our dedicated battery test indicated that the HTC HD2 in-box battery performance was pretty decent indeed so we guess the extended one should be able to take you through a day even if you don’t let it rest for a second. Just think about it – 9 hours of video playback sounds almost insane, considering the 1GHz CPU and the 4.3” WVGA screen.

Nokia Gives Navigation App for Free

Nokia has just announced that they will be providing its very own navigation app for free, making the likes of Garmin and TomTom run for their money.

But unlike the GPS navigation on the iPhone, which leaves you at the mercy of your cell signal, the Ovi Maps function just like a standalone GPS.  Maps are preloaded on the phone and are saved there forever.  So in case you get lost and so is the signal, you can retrieve the map right from the phone.

The Ovi Maps can also support AGPS, so you get driving and walking directions, as well as guides from Michelin and Lonely Planet.  With this app, your phone can also receive weather updates and desktop software that would manage and search routes.  All of these can also be accessed even while offline.

Owners of Nokia smartphones can download the app today at the Ovi store, we repeat, for free.  Do note, however, that not all models are supported.

iPhone 4G is Coming

The year last year, or more specifically the second half of the 2009, was gratefully decorated with major smartphone announcements. Just to name a few let's bring up in mind iPhone 3GS and Palm Pre coming one after another and followed by the mobile hero of the year - the HTC Hero. Then the long awaited Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 and Motorola Droid made their appearance. By now we have Nexus One added to that lot. iPhone 3GS, despite being a revamped one and a half year old second-gen iPhone is holding very strong to its positions and better still beats the newcomers by an immense rate when it comes to loading a web page, as our colleagues were lucky to discover. If take a look in the future however we might see there an eye-pleasing glow of iPhone 4G coming out in May, 2010. At least this is what rumor mill has erected.

It is hard to be precise knowing that the point about Apple iPhone 4G is based on unofficial information, speculation about it and generalized wishlist which Apple definitely follows through evolution branches of all of its products. But we have the approximate release date - May, 2010. We also have the announcement date - that should be January 27th - the day when Apple introduces their not any less rumored tablet to the public.

Design, hardware and software have even thicker layer of fog lying upon them. But as far as we know, a significant hardware updates are planned for the next-gen iPhone. They include recently released SGX545 graphic processor, OLED touchscreen, 5 Megapixel camera or better, 4G chip. All of that as I'm sure you know requires radical of changes in software and rewriting the current version will not be enough. iPhone OS 4.0 should be the answer and plausibly with multitasking feature.
