the World's Thinest Television has coming

When it comes to diet plans and televisions, thinner is almost always better and LG claims to have developed the world's thinnest LCD TV.

Coming in with a thickness of just 2.6 millimeters (0.1 inch), LG's latest panel surpasses the record set by Samsung Electronics in October this year of 3.9 millimeters.

The new panel will work ideally for users who wall-mount as the 42-inch model weighs a mere 8.8 pounds. It also features full HD resolution and 120-hertz technology for clearer images.

LG hopes to bring this new unit to the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show this upcoming January (6-9) and there's hope of the model hitting the market sometime within the following year.
